TLC Internship Program
TLC is an established multidisciplinary clinic with qualified therapists and educators. We welcome interns who are keen to learn more about the allied health and education profession to apply to our clinic. The exciting benefits to an internship with us include working with a great team of professionals that are dedicated to helping the children, and learning the ins and outs of being a therapist or educator in a multidisciplinary team. In return the intern should bring these essential skills to the position: excellent communication skills, good interaction with children, willing to learn, attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and most importantly, an interest and love for children.
Learning Objectives & Responsibilities
- Help the team in group sessions – to ensure safety and participation of the children in the group
- Help the team to develop resources and materials
- Help the team to prepare and organise the rooms for therapy (inclusive of sanitizing the room and materials that were used)
- Help the team with administrative matters
- Help the team in individual session
During the orientation, you will go through with the internship coordinator your learning objectives. Based on your discussed goals, you get to participate in exciting quality improvement projects, professional development (such as presentation), etc. At the end of the internship, you will receive a certificate, if you meet the number of required hours.
Internship Schedule
Duration: Minimum 3 months
Frequency: 2-3 times /week, 6-8hrs each
